Today I launched a new blog series, recruitingSHEro Unmasked. In this series, I will share behind the scenes details related to what you see on the internet pertaining to or from me! I will share with you personal and professional stories that you'd likely not otherwise know about me, the event, the post, and more. It is my goal to encourage others to share their experiences and feel comfortable talking about the not so comfortable parts of public speaking, social media content creation, and recruiting. I cannot think of a better way to do so than leading by example.
In this inaugural post, I discuss a recent virtual event I presented at and the additional details you would never know unless I personally told you about the experience. So lets get personal. Let's get real. Let's remember that we are all human and what we see live, replayed, or prerecorded is only what the creator has allowed you to see.

You went through that and also came to the conference? Take care of yourself, Rachel. People can survive without your presence everywhere. Your first thought that sharing this could be off putting is right. I’m going to suggest you practicing speaking without the heavy breathing or sit still while you do. Stick to writing the blog and not recording yourself sounding breathy and out of shape. Know one wants to hear that.
